Katherine Morgan, principle of KMP, Inc, has a long history in multiple artistic fields of expression. Trained formally in fine arts as a concert pianist at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, she was privileged to have studied privately with Harry Franklin (PA), and Olga Heifetz (NY). Later, she was Senior Arts and Design Editor and feature storywriter and assistant photographer for a Latin American Publication, she then became a fine artist agent. Ms. Morgan arranged the distribution of works to private collectors as well as gallery exhibitions in "ARTSERVE" in Fort Lauderdale, FL, "Eye of the Lizard Gallery" in Vero Beach, FL and the "Addison Gallery" in Boca Raton, FL. Sharpening her ability with the camera, Ms Morgan discovered that her lifelong passion for photography grew into a powerful vehicle for self-expression. She developed this skill as a technical device to record and catalog extensive projects that were created by her former interior design firm.
Ms Morgan has exhibited her works in the Morikami Museum”, Bass Museum, Miami, FL. To name a few, her winning exhibitions include CFA100, Carnegie Mellon University and Regina Gouger Miller Gallery (PA) for CMU’s celebrated 100 years milestone, ARTS 2007; 1st Place for the NEW YORK TIMES National Arts & Leisure 2007 juried exhibition; Best in Show in HORTT45 at ARTSERVE 2008, in Fort Lauderdale; People’s Choice award at the Salon des Refusees at ARTSERVE; Art Expressions Gallery 2009 “Aperture Eight” exhibition Wilton Manors, FL; Juror’s recognition for The Boca Raton Museum of Art Artists’ Guild 2009, Boca Raton, FL and the National Art Encounter 2009 group exhibition at The von Liebig Art Center Naples, FL.
